Press Trust of Kashmir | Bandipora :-The residents of kanlibagh village of north Kashmira’s Bandipora district friday staged a massive protest blocked sopore bandipora road demands Macdimistaion of theire link road.

Locals assembled on Bandipora sopore road at several locations and blocked it for traffic with barricades. They chanted slogans against Public Works Department.

“People are suffering badly and neither local legislators nor concerned officers are bothered about the worst condition of the road which is putting lives of people in trouble,” locals said.

Talking to the locals one of the resident Mohd Ramzan said that many times they raised the issue before concerned officers but no one is caring.

Two hours together, the road remained blocked after which a team of police reached the spot and assured the protesters that their demand has been brought to the notice of district administration which has assured redressal.

On this assurance, the protest was called Off.(PTK).
