Press Trust Of Kashmir Srinagar Nov 11 :-A foreign militant identified as Kamran Bhai@Hanees was active since last several months in Kulgam-Shopian hamlet and his killing is big success to security forces, SSP Shopian Tanushree said on Friday.

While holding a press conference in Shopian, Tanushree said that on a specific input about the presence of militants, joint team of forces including 34 RR, Shopian Police and 178 Bn CRPF cordoned off Kaprin area of Shopian.

She said cordon turned into encounter and during operation one militant killed in a Madrasa who was identified as Kamran Bhai@Hanees who was active since eight months in Kulgam-Shopian hamlet and his killing is big success to security forces.

Since last several days we had intelligence reports about Fidayeen attack and Target Killings in Shopian and his killing is big success, she said.

We have got some leads about Choudry Gund incident , however, that attack was carried out by Lashkar while Kamran was part of JeM, she said.

Kamran was A+ category militant and Ak 47 and four magazines were recovered from his possession while investigation is being going on about in which cases he was involved directly.
