J&K Floorball Team Flagged Off for 18th National Championship

 

Srinagar, July 18: The Jammu and Kashmir Floorball Team was flagged off today by Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh, Member of the J&K Sports Council, amidst great enthusiasm and fanfare. Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh, an Asian Games medalist and international medalist in Wushu, is a top player in India and an inspiration to the team.

The team, comprising both men and women players, was selected after rigorous selection trials, where all members of the J&K Floorball Association, including President Irshad Ahmad Dar, General Secretary Fazan Ul Fayaz, and other executive members, were present to oversee the process.

The selected team will participate in the 18th Floorball National Championship 2024, scheduled to take place in Rohtak, Haryana from July 19-22, 2024.

The players showed immense happiness and gratitude towards the J&K Floorball Association for providing them with a platform to showcase their talent. “We are thankful to the J&K Floorball Association for their tireless efforts in promoting floorball in the region,” said one of the players.

President Irshad Ahmad Dar and General Secretary Fazan Ul Fayaz of the J&K Floorball Association have been working tirelessly to promote the sport and provide opportunities to the players. “We are committed to taking floorball to new heights in Jammu and Kashmir,” said President Irshad Ahmad Dar.

The team was flagged off in the presence of President Irshad Ahmad Dar, General Secretary Fazan Ul Fayaz, Team Manager Suhail Ahmad, Team Coach Ummar Bashir, and other members of the J&K Floorball Association.
