J & K assembly elections: Election Commission’s meeting, several important decisions taken

Srinagar, Agency. The Election Commission held a meeting on Tuesday (April 30) on the issue of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. In this meeting, it was decided to ask for some clarification from the Home Ministry. It has also been decided to seek opinion of legal experts regarding the President’s rule in the state.

Three independent supervisors appointed by the Election Commission have submitted their report to the Commission. These supervisors were given the responsibility to give their opinion about the timing of the assembly elections while taking stock of the situation of the state.
