In Pahalgam Muslims Help perform last rites of Tourist Lady

Srinagar, 28 Oct (PTK) : In another heartwarming example of Kashmiriyat, Local Muslims helps in performing the last rites of an elderly tourist woman, who dies of cardiac arrest yesterday at famous tourist destination Pahalgam.

Reports reaching press trust of Kashmir (PTK) that local muslims helped in performing last rites of 75-year-old woman Rajni Patwa W/O Ramesh Patwa a resident of mumbai.

Rajni died on Wednesday and today she was cremated with honour, Muslim neighbours helps in performing last rites as per their religion.

Family member of the deceased said that every possible help was provided by the local Muslim community, from setting up the cremation pyre to checking the last-minute details of carrying the earthen pot to cremation ground, local Muslims did all, besides carrying the bodies for the final journey, he adds.
