Gunshots heard amid CASO in sopore

Gunshots were heard amid CASO in Warpora village of Sopore in North Kashmir Baramulla district.
Earlier Army’s 22 RR, Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the area after receiving specific tipoff about the presence of militants.
As the forces intensified the searches, few gunshots were heard from the site.
However no contact with the militants was established yet.
SSP Sopore Javid Iqbal while taking to Press Trust of Kashmir said encounter hasn’t yet raged in the area as the contacts wasnt yet established.
Meanwhile mobile internet service have been suspended in Sopore.
