Six-Day Management Development Programme under RAMP concludes at Waqar Knowledge Centre Bandipora.
BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 21(PTK): The six-day Management Development Programme (MDP) under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative, conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), concluded today at Waqar Knowledge Centre, Mini Secretariat, Bandipora.
A total of 19 candidates successfully completed the programme. The participants are members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) and are engaged in diverse business activities, including restaurants, handicrafts, manufacturing, agro-farming, free-range poultry and other enterprises.
The programme aimed at strengthening the entrepreneurial and managerial capabilities of the participants, equipping them with knowledge of various funding avenues and sensitising them about activity-specific compliances and registration requirements. It also focused on facilitating the transition of their enterprises towards organised business sectors while enabling them to pursue expansion and diversification plans.
As part of the practical training component, participants were provided hands-on guidance on using digital platforms, including WhatsApp Business, Instagram Professional and Facebook, for business promotion. Each participant created her own business profiles using details of her products, merchandise and services to enhance their digital visibility and market outreach.
The course team also prepared preliminary business plans customised to the respective business activities of each participant. These plans are expected to help the trainees structure their growth and diversification proposals and present them to scheme-implementing agencies, regulatory authorities, financial institutions and potential investors for support in realising their business objectives.
The programme marks a step towards strengthening grassroots entrepreneurship, promoting digital adoption and enabling SHG members to develop sustainable and growth-oriented enterprises.(PTK)
