Gunfight breaks out in Shopian Village 

Shopian, 25 Feb (PTK) : An encounter breaks out between security forces and militants in Amshipora area in South Kashmir’s shopian district on friday morning .

Official sources told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) that a gunfight breaks out between militants and security forces in Amshipora area in Shopian after a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the village following credible inputs of presence of militants in the area.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot the hidden militants fired upon them which was retaliated triggering off an encounter.

Meanwhile Kashmir zone police also informed through a tweet that #Encounter has started at Amshipora area of #Shopian. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice. (PTK)
