Four persons arrested for illegal excavation and transportation of minerals in Budgam

Srinagar February, 27 (PTK) Police on Monday seized 04 tippers and arrested four persons for illegal excavation and transportation of minerals in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

A Police spokesperson said, ” During patrolling at Aalipora Chadoora, police party of Police Station Chadoora intercepted 04 tippers carrying illegally extracted bed material from Nalla Shaliganga Chadoora. Accordingly, 04 tippers were seized & 4 drivers arrested on spot.”

The arrested drivers were subsequently identified as Abid Hussain Bhat S/o Maqbool Bhat R/o Chadoora, Gulam Muhammad Wani S/o Abdul Kabir R/o Kakawring Charar Sharief, Younis Farooq Yatoo S/o Farooq Ahmad R/o Nagam Chadoora and Shabir Ahmad Bhat S/o Gulam Nabi R/o Dooniwari ,chadoora.

He said that case FIR No.25/2023 under relevant sections of laws has been registered at Police Station Chadoora and investigation taken up. (PTK)
