Explosive device detected defused in North Kashmir

Srinagar June 18 (PTK) Security forces on Saturday morning detected and diffused an explosive object along Baramulla-Handwara highway in Ganapora area of Langate.

An official said that a suspicious object was detected following which police rushed to the spot and called a bomb disposal squad (BDS), who later defused it.

Later, traffic suspended as a precautionary measure was allowed to ply on the road.

Notably an IED was destroyed on Baramulla-Srinagar highway after it was found planted on roadside. (PTK)
