Centaur hotel employees continue their protest, demand their jobs back
Sheikh Shafat
Srinagar June 18 (PTK) Centaur hotel Employees Union continued their protest and demanded the security of their livelihoods.
The employees were concerned about their livelihoods as the possession of the hotel has changed hands.
They said that the hotel and its staff at present is operated by Hotel Corporation of India, the company under the control of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, GOI.
The employees highlighted that despite the 160 odd employees they kept the hotel operational even in the toughest times over the past few years and generated a monthly revenue of Rs 1.5 crores which is expected to go up over the next few months.
Despite this , they are not being appreciated or acknowledged but rather the government has come up with such decision which is having a devastating impact on the employees.
They urged the Government to intervene in the matter and safeguard the interests of the employees of Centaur Hotel. (PTK)
