Drug peddler along with accomplice arrested in Bla:- Police

Press Trust of Kashmir| Srinagar : Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and his accomplice in Baramulla district along with over 8 kgs of charas.

An official said that on routine naka checking at Watergam Kreeri, Baramulla Police under the supervision of Dr. Khalid Ashraf-JKPS, SDPO Kreeri assisted by Inspr. Mohd Arif, SHO PS Kreeri and SI Irshad Ahmad, IC PP Wagoora arrested 01 drug peddler namely Ab Hamid Bhat S/O Ab Samad Bhat resident of Hygam Sopore alongwith accomplice namely Irfan Ahmad Mir S/O Gh Mohd Mir R/O Kawcheck, Kreeri and recovered 8.5 grams of Heroin like substance from the vehicle i20 bearing registration No. JK05H-9954.

He said that Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Kreeri and investigation set in motion.

General People of Wagoora hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of Drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.

People are requested to come forward with information regarding Drug Peddlers of their areas so that drug menace can be eradicated from the society.:-PTK.
