Director HD discusses measures for production of quality planting material 

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR JAMMU, JULY 25: To ensure production of quality planting material in the fruit plant nurseries of the Horticulture Department in Jammu Division,  Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram Savak today convened a meeting of the technical committee members of the department and SKUAST-J here in the Directorate of Horticulture Jammu.

C.L Sharma, Joint Director Horticulture Jammu, Dr. Amit Jasrotia, Head Division of Fruit Science, SKUAST-J, Chief Horticulture Officers of district Kathua, Reasi, Jammu, Udhampur, besides other officers attended the meeting.

Threadbare discussion was held on the finalization of Rates of Seedlings, Graft/ Bud wood and propagating material of different kinds of fruit plants for Jammu Division.

The Director emphasised on the production of true to type quality fruit plant material in the government fruit plant nurseries so that the common farmer is benefitted in the long run.
