DIPR Organises Symposium, Cultural Programme Under Nasha Mukt J&K Campaign in Samba
Jammu, May 13 (PTK): The Cultural Unit Jammu of the Department of Information and Public Relations Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday organised a Symposium-cum-Theme Based Cultural Programme at National Public School Bari under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir 100 Days Campaign.
The programme was organised to sensitise students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encourage them to adopt a healthy and responsible lifestyle.
Students actively participated in the symposium and expressed their views on the growing menace of drug abuse, highlighting the need for collective efforts to build a drug-free society.
Principal Farman Ali, who attended the programme as chief guest, appreciated the initiative and urged students to act as responsible citizens by spreading awareness against substance abuse.
In the symposium competition, Sanchit Singh secured the first position, while Kaleef and Indrani bagged the second and third positions respectively. The event was judged by Nasreen Bibi, Shashi Shekhar and Tilak Raj.
Adding further impact to the awareness campaign, students of the school presented a Nukkad Natak on Nasha Mukti, delivering a strong social message against drug addiction. Artists from the Cultural Unit Jammu also performed theme-based Hindi and Punjabi songs to reinforce the campaign’s message through cultural performances.
The event witnessed active participation from students, teachers and faculty members, making the programme a meaningful awareness initiative.
Officials said the programme was conducted under the direction of Joint Director Information Deepak Dubey and supervision of Cultural Officer Mohit Sharma.(PTK)
