DC Kulgam chairs Aadhaar Monitoring Committee meet
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KULGAM, DECEMBER 12: To finalize the action plan for saturation of Aadhaar cards and availability of UIDAI Centres, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee at DC Office Complex, here.
On the occasion, the DC held a threadbare deliberation about a mechanism to be adopted for Aadhaar saturation in all age groups and mandatory biometric update of children in the district.
The concerned officers informed the chair that the Aadhaar Enrolment process stands at 94% besides briefed him about the status of Aadhaar Seva Kendras operating in the district.
The DC asked the concerned to start intensified Aadhaar enrolment drives for children below 5 years and to get Mandatory Biometric updates (MBU) done on attaining the age of 5 years and 15 years.

He called upon all concerned departments to saturate the remaining Aadhaar Enrolment in the district besides launching mass awareness campaigns in their jurisdictions to cover all population under Aadhaar enrolment.
The DC called for making coordinated efforts to cover the uncovered populace as it will facilitate the public to have access to Aadhaar linked services.
ADC, CMO, CEO, CMO, DIO, LDM, DM CSC and other Committee members and representatives of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) attended the meeting.
