DC B’pora takes appraisal of progress on Transit Accommodation at Odina, Sumbal
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 12: In order to take first hand appraisal of progress on transit accommodation, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Monday visited Odina, Sumbal.
During the visit, DC urged officers to enhance the pace of work to complete the project within set time line.
The DC directed the concerned executing agency to gear up men and machinery and speed up the pace of work on the project on war-footing basis to ensure its completion within the shortest possible time.

The officers apprised the DC that transit accommodation is coming up at the cost of Rs 57.60 crores comprising 480 flats in 30 blocks. They said each block is four-storied with four flats in each storey, totalling 16 flats in each block.
The officers further informed that finishing work in 06 flats is in final touch which will be ready to use by the end of this month. It was further informed that work on other blocks is in full swing and shall be competed within the set timeline.
Dr. Owais urged the officers concerned to properly monitor execution process without compromising the quality of work.
SDM Sumbal, Tehsildar Sumbal, Executive Engineers and other concerned functionaries from Administration accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
