DC Bandipora convenes meeting of representatives of political parties

Rationalization of Polling Stations, Har Ghar Jhanda programme discussed

BANDIPORA, JULY 19 PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR:The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed who is also District Election Officer (DEO) on Tuesday chaired a meeting with representatives of various political parties to discuss rationalisation of polling stations and Har Ghar Jhanda programme in the district.

The meeting was convened to discuss rationalisation of polling stations with representatives of political parties and take necessary suggestions from them.

The meeting discussed threadbare rationalisation of polling stations besides other necessary issues related to elections.

It was informed that Bandipora district has 03 Assembly constituencies of 300 Polling Stations with Assured Minimum Facility.

Dr. Owais directed the concerned Officers from Election Department to work in better coordination and mobilise field functionaries to finalize the process of creation, renaming, relocation of polling stations with regard to the number of voters.

DC also sought active involvement and cooperation of the political parties in the Har Ghar Jhanda programme to make it impactful.

Among others, the meeting was attended by concerned officers and the representatives of various political parties.

BANDIPORA, JULY 19 PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR: The District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) which met here today under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, (Chairman DLTFC), Mohammad Ashraf Hakak cleared 16 out of 28 cases placed before it under Rural Employment Generation programme (REGP).

One case was rejected while 11 cases will be taken again in the next meeting of DLTFC.

The meeting was attended by Lead Development Manager, District Officer KVIB, Superintendent ITI, Manager Grameen Bank and GM DIC.

Under the scheme REGP financial assistance is being provided to educated youth for setting up of income generating units thereby giving livelihood to educated youth who in turn employ many educated persons in their units.
