DC Anantnag reviews functioning of KPDCL Anantnag
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR ANANTNAG DECEMBER 15: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr Basharat Qayoom, today held a detailed review of the functioning of KPDCL Anantnag at DC Office Complex here.
Dr Basharat while reviewing the progress of works under various schemes directed the concerned officials to ensure completion of all pending works within a fortnight and added that physical and financial progress will be regularly monitored. He further directed the department to ensure strict supervision of execution and maintain high standards of quality.
Regarding the supply of electricity in the district, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Executive Engineers to adhere to the notified schedule. He discussed the availability of buffer stock and decentralisation of stock to reduce replacement time. He said that every effort has to be made to ensure that transformers are replaced within stipulated times, wherever required.

He also directed the department to carry out awareness drives and appealed to people to pay their electricity dues. He also appealed people to desist from using banned electrical equipment and encouraged judicious use of electricity. The department was directed to carry out IEC awareness through their field staff.
The Chair was informed that most of the works are nearing physical completion. The SE said that all the works taken up will be completed as per stipulated timelines.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, JD Planning, SE KPDCL, Executive Engineers and other concerned officers.
