Corona Virus: Junaid Mattu asks people to avoid congregational Friday prayers

Srinagar, Mar 13 (PTK):  Mayor of Srinagar city, Junaid Azim Mattu has requested people to avoid congregational Friday prayers in the wake of coronavirus scare prevalent in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a tweet he said, “I’m of the FIRM opinion that congregational Friday prayers should be avoided and disallowed tomorrow.

There is no distinction in “congregation” – whether religious or not. In the absence of such an unambiguous order yet –I Request people to avoid congregational prayers tomorrow.”
