Budgam Police seizes 32 bags of rice in misappropriation case; 04 arrested.
Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- Budgam Police on Friday claimed to have seized 32 bags of rice and arrested four persons in this regard.
An official said that that Police station Khag received a reliable information that the staff of Government Middle School ShungliPora Khag has misappropriated rice issued by Government meant for midday meals for children/ students of the school. Acting on the information, Case FIR number *60/2022* under relevent sections of law was registered and investigation set into motion. During the course of investigation, 32 bags ( about 15 quantals) of misappropriated rice bags were seized from outside the school premises and some records related to the issuance of ration and its use have also been seized.
During the course of investigation, 04 accused persons (staff members) were arrested in the instant case namely Ashraf Ali Sheikh S/o Ali Mohd Sheikh R/o Shunglipora (I/C Mid day meals) BMS Shunglipora, Ishfaq Ahmad Shah S/o Peer Gh Hassan Shah R/o Sugen Khag (Headmaster Middle School Shunglipora), Abdul Qayoom Malik S/o Sattar Malik R/o Shunglipora I/C Mid day meals Primary School Shunglipora(B) and Abdul Rashid Malik S/o Gh Qadir Malik R/o Shunglipora (I/C Mid Day Meals Primary school GilBall, official added.
Further investigation into the case is going on and some more arrests are also expected, he said.: – PTK
