BJP seeks disqualification of Akbar Lone from Baramulla LS seat candidature

SRINAGAR, MAR 25 (PTK): Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday urged the Election Commission to disqualify National Conference (NC) candidate for Baramulla Lok Sabha seat for allegedly raising pro-Pakistan slogans.

“It is to bring to your kind notice that National Conference Candidate from Baramulla parliamentary constituency Muhammad Akbar Lone through his speech resorted to ultimate disrespect to the country by raising pro Pakistan slogan “Pakistan zindabad” which has hurt the sentiments of people of not only Jammu and Kashmir but also the people of entire India” read the BJP letter to chief electoral officer (CEO), Jammu and Kashmir.

In the letter BJP State Spokesman Altaf Thakur request you to take serious note of Akbar Lone’s speech the videos of which are available on social media and disqualify him from the candidature of Baramulla LS speeches so that peace and harmony is maintained in the country and Jammu and Kashmir.
