Azad-led Party Announces Candidate for Srinagar LS Seat

SRINAGAR: The Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) has put forth its contender for the Srinagar parliamentary constituency in an announcement made on Monday.

Amir Ahmed Bhat, the District President of DPAP, has been named as the party’s representative for the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat.

As the Lok Sabha elections kick off in seven phases nationwide, with the first phase starting from April 19, the democratic fervor is palpable. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is vying for a third consecutive term.

The initial phase of polling has already concluded in the Udhampur Lok Sabha seat in the Jammu region, witnessing a notable 69 percent voter turnout on April 19.

The Srinagar Constituency is slated for polling on May 13.

Meanwhile, JKNC has nominated Aga Ruhallah as its candidate, while PDP’s youth president, Wahid-ur-Rehman Parra, is set to contest from the Srinagar seat.
