Arvind Kejriwal’s first message after 50 days in Tihar is on fighting dictatorship
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stepped out of Tihar Jail after nearly 50 days in custody, greeted by the cheers of his supporters. Clad in an olive t-shirt, Kejriwal expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and attributed his release to the blessings of Lord Hanuman. His first announcement post-release was a visit to Connaught Place’s Hanuman Temple followed by a press conference at the party office, symbolizing a return to his political duties.
Despite the jubilant atmosphere, Kejriwal remained focused on the broader picture, emphasizing the need to combat dictatorship. His interim bail, granted by the Supreme Court amidst the ongoing legal proceedings, comes with conditions restricting his official activities until his return to jail on June 2. Kejriwal seized the moment to thank the judiciary for upholding democratic principles.
Accompanied by his family and AAP colleagues, Kejriwal’s departure from Tihar marked a moment of celebration for his supporters. Sweets were distributed, drums reverberated, and slogans echoed in support of his return to the political arena. As Kejriwal emerges from this legal battle, his message underscores resilience and a commitment to the democratic process in the face of adversity.
