Army Chief, Murmu discuss security

SRINAGAR: Army Chief Gen Manoj Mukund Naravane met Lt-Governor Girish Chandra Murmu at Raj Bhawan here on Thursday.
It was his maiden visit to J&K after becoming the Chief of Army Staff. He was accompanied by Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, Northern Command chief.
The L-G and the Army Chief discussed issues concerning effective management of internal and external security, particularly in the context of infiltration bids and the anti-terrorist operations.
The L-G lauded the Army’s role in safeguarding the territorial integrity and the internal security of J&K while conducting successful anti-terrorist operations in the hinterland.
