Altaf Thakur Extends Greetings on Urs of Ameer-e-Kabir Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA)

Srinagar, June 03 (PTK) Senior BJP leader and party spokesperson for Jammu and Kashmir, Altaf Thakur, extended warm greetings to the people on the revered occasion of the annual Urs of Ameer-e-Kabir Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA), also known as Shah-e-Hamadan.

In his message, Thakur paid rich tributes to the legendary Sufi saint, scholar, and reformer, highlighting his immense contribution to the spiritual and cultural heritage of Kashmir. “Hazrat Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA) was a beacon of peace, unity, and brotherhood. His teachings laid the foundation of a spiritually enlightened and socially harmonious society in Kashmir,” Thakur said.

The BJP leader emphasized the relevance of Shah-e-Hamadan’s message in today’s times, urging people to draw inspiration from his life and principles. “May this sacred occasion serve as a reminder to uphold the values of compassion, humility, and communal harmony that Ameer-e-Kabir (RA) so passionately preached,” he added.

Thakur also prayed for peace, prosperity, and spiritual well-being for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Urs of Shah-e-Hamadan (RA), a 14th-century Persian Sufi saint, is observed with great reverence across the Valley, especially at Khanqah-e-Moula in Srinagar, where devotees gather in large numbers to offer prayers and pay homage.(PTK)
