AIP candidate Dr. Harbaksh expresses joy over Er. Rashid’s bail

Tral, September 11: Dr. Harbaksh Singh, the Awami Itehaad Party (AIP) candidate for Tral, expressed his delight on Tuesday over the grant of bail to Er. Rashid, the founder of the AIP.

Addressing the media at Gulab Bagh area in Tral, Dr. Singh termed the development as “good news” for the people of Kashmir and hoped that Er. Rashid would visit Tral on priority.

Dr. Singh took a swipe at National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders, criticizing their remarks about the AIP. He advised them to introspect and examine their own actions before commenting on others.

Dr. Singh highlighted Er. Rashid’s incarceration for several years, despite receiving a mandate from the people. He pointed out that if Er. Rashid were government-sponsored, he would have accepted a ministerial post after winning the Lok Sabha polls.

Dr. Singh expressed optimism that Er. Rashid’s release would boost the AIP’s campaign, as he believed that the people knew who to vote for to ensure better representation.
