Six Militant Associates Arrested with Arms and Ammunition in Pulwama

Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir – Police have apprehended six militant associates in Pulwama district, seizing a cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives, an official spokesperson announced on Friday.

The arrest followed a specific tip-off that a Pakistan-based Kashmiri terrorist from Jaish-e-Mohammad was recruiting local youths for terror activities. According to police, before formally joining terror ranks, these youths were provided with weapons and explosives.

During the investigation, it was revealed that a jailed Over Ground Worker (OGW) aided the terrorist in identifying and motivating youths from Tral, Awantipora, and Kulgam. The recruits were tasked with carrying out terror activities, including target killings, grenade attacks, and planting IEDs.

The operation led to the recovery of five IEDs, pistols, grenades, detonators, and cash. Police continue to investigate the module’s activities.
