Anantnag, August 23, 2024 :  In a rousing address to party workers and supporters in Anantnag, senior PDP leader Mehboob Beg vowed to revive government vacancies and ensure their prompt fulfillment within the first month of the new administration. Emphasizing the PDP’s commitment to the welfare of the people, Beg highlighted the severe hardships faced by the residents of Anantnag, particularly in the aftermath of the August 2019 changes, which saw the installation of new smart electricity meters and a significant increase in tariffs.

Beg articulated his concerns over the difficulties that Anantnag’s people have endured, stressing that their plight has been ignored by current administration. He assured the gathering that a PDP-led government would prioritize the filling of vacant government positions, providing employment opportunities and alleviating economic stress for countless families in the region.

“Anantnag has faced many challenges since August 2019,” Beg stated. “From the imposition of smart electricity meters to soaring tariffs, our people have been burdened unnecessarily. We promise to address these issues head-on, ensuring that our people do not continue to suffer under the weight of these hardships.”

The senior PDP leader called on the people of Anantnag to come out in large numbers to vote in the upcoming assembly elections. He urged them to demonstrate their resolve by supporting the PDP, a party that has consistently stood for the people’s rights and welfare. Beg emphasized that the upcoming elections are a crucial opportunity for the people to elect leaders who genuinely care for their well-being and will work tirelessly to bring about positive change.

“Anantnag’s people have a strong will, and they have shown it before,” Beg declared. “Now is the time to show it again. Let us vote for a party that cares, a party that listens, and a party that delivers. Let us reject those candidates who have neither benefited the people nor cared for their welfare. Together, we can build a future that truly reflects the aspirations and needs of our community.”

As the assembly elections draw near, Beg’s message resonated strongly with the crowd, setting the stage for a vigorous campaign focused on addressing the real issues facing the people of Anantnag. The PDP’s pledge to prioritize employment and address economic and infrastructural challenges has garnered significant support, reinforcing its position as a party committed to the people.
