Directorate of School Education Kashmir Implements New School Timings in Srinagar

The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has announced a significant change in school timings within Srinagar city.

Effective from May 6th, 2024, all government and privately recognized schools operating within the municipal limits of Srinagar will commence classes from 8:30 AM and conclude at 2:30 PM. This decision, approved by the competent authority, reflects the ongoing efforts to streamline educational practices and enhance the overall learning environment for students.

The adjustment in school hours is expected to accommodate various factors, including weather conditions and transportation logistics, while optimizing students’ academic engagement and extracurricular activities. By synchronizing schedules across educational institutions, the DSEK aims to promote consistency and efficiency in educational delivery.

This timely initiative underscores the DSEK’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare and educational progress of students in Srinagar.
