Vehicle Carrying Nine Persons Rolls into Nallah in Sonamarg: Three Rescued, Six Missing

 

SRINAGAR : In a tragic incident in the Sonamarg area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, a vehicle carrying nine passengers veered off the road and rolled into a nallah. As per official reports, three individuals have been successfully rescued, but the fate of the remaining six remains uncertain.

 

The vehicle, identified as a Tawera with registration number JK13B-8950, met with the accident in Nali Sindh at Gagangair Sonamarg along the Srinagar-Leh Highway.

 

Authorities have confirmed that the rescued individuals have been promptly transferred to Gund Primary Health Center for medical attention. However, the search and rescue operation for the missing six individuals is ongoing.

 

Multiple agencies, including the SHO Gund, police teams, Army 34 Assam Rifles, traffic rural police, civil administration, locals, as well as the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), are actively involved in the rescue efforts.

 

Despite the challenging conditions, the collective efforts of the rescue teams are focused on locating and extricating the missing individuals from the site of the accident.
