Patients forced to get medicines from private clinics in Ganderbal
SRINAGAR:- Scores of patients on Tuesday alleged that they are forced to get medicines from private clinics outside district hospital Ganderbal.
They said that on pretext of that some medicines aren’t available in the hospital and patients are forced to buy from private clinics.
“Why is it necessary for us to bring blood pressure medicine from a pharmacy outside of the hospital? Why isn’t it available in the emergency ward? Doesn’t the hospital management play with people’s lives. Does the hospital’s management receive commission from outside businesses? Said an attendant.
He said that government must take cognizance of the issue and take appropriate steps in this regard.
Other patients and attendants also demanded that government must investigate the matter and take action doctors who are forcing patients to buy medicines from private clinics.
