Rajnath virtually inaugurates vital project in Ganderbal.

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday virtually inaugurated the Srinagar leh Highway Gumri Road

Chief Engineer BRO among Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shyambir Singh, Additional DC Ganderbal Mehraj Din,SDM kangan Javaid Ahmad,CO 115BN,SDPO Kangan and others were also present during the virtual inauguration

CE BRO said that last year they had completed 102 projects 2021 year and in year 2022, 103 projects were completed and 75 were inaugurated in October and 28 more inaugurated today.

He said that among 28 projects inaugurated today, Srinagar Leh Highway Gumri road is one and other is a bridge in Ramban.

Mehtra Or Julla bridge in Ramban is 240 ft long and is connecting Ramban with parts of Chenab valley and this bridge was completed just in 45 days.

He said that length of road to Srinagar to Sonamarg to Gumri is 108 kms and it is vital road as it is lifeline for Ladakh.

From Manigam to zero point which is around 78 kilometres, double lanning has been completed and it will ensure hassle free movement of traffic from Srinagar to Leh Or vice versa., he said. :-PTK.
