Don’t endanger lives of fellow journalists, behave responsibly:- Police to media houses
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR NOV 17:- Srinagar Police on Wednesday said that some media portals are irresponsibly discussing the names of media persons in their debates regarding the online anonymous threat to them.
They said that media houses must behave responsibly and not to endanger the lives of fellow journalists.
An official said that it has been noticed by our social media cell that many news portals are irresponsibly discussing names of media persons in their debates regarding the online anonymous threat to them.

He said that a case under relevant sections has been already registered in Shergari PS about this threat.
Media houses are requested not to fall for sensationalism in discussing names of victims in reporting and also to behave responsibly and not endanger the safety and security of their fellow journalists, he said.
“It has been noticed that many media houses are irresponsibly discussing names of journalists regarding the online anonymous threat. Media houses are requested not to fall for sensationalism & to behave responsibly not endangering the safety & security of their fellow journalists.” Srinagar police tweeted.
