Land Passbooks distributed among 250 beneficiaries at Anantnag
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 02: Under the ambit of Apki Zamin Apki Nigrani campaign, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Basharat Qayoom today distributed land pass books among beneficiaries at DC Office, here.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that digitization of revenue records is underway in mission mode. He said that the landowners can now check their land records online and do not have to visit the revenue offices. He said this will also reduce the rush in Tehsils and Niabats and allow them to function more efficiently.
The land owners appreciated the distribution of land pass books by the department.

It is worth mentioning that the revenue department has been working day and night to ensure digitization of revenue records. Several digitization centres have been set up in the district across various Tehsils.
Meanwhile, any landowner, whose revenue records have been digitized, can apply for the land pass book online, and the same can be downloaded from the portal once the application has been processed.
The land pass book may be used as a document for grant of financial assistance by a finance institution.
