Article 35 A is discriminatory, shall be abrogate to protect the rights of women

Srinagar (PTK): Dr Narender Singh (BJP State General Secretary) while talking on article 35 A slammed those raising a hue and cry on the said article and termed it biased against the women and violating the fundamental rights of people in in the state.
The political parties and separatists are raising their voices only to gain illegal designs out of the protests and provoke people to adapt the methods of violation to defend it by terming it the real identity of people of state which is far from truth.
Singh further added that article 35 A is discriminatory in nature and indirect conflict with Articles 14 and 16 of the Indian constitution and proves a road blocker on the integration of state into rest of the country.
On 14th May 1954, through a Presidential order, Article 35 A was added to strengthen the Article 370 bypassing Parliament but the said article remains unconstitutional and illegal till date.
“I think this is the right time for the Supreme Court to deal with this complicated problems to ensure complete integration of JK state into union of India as this article only reflects gander bias, discriminatory and against the mandate of right to equality”, Singh added.
“The said article is discriminatory as it creates inequality among the women of state subjects that once they marry a non-citizen man, their progeny will not get the Permanent Resident Certificate and deemed unfit for inheritance while the rule doesn’t apply for the men community”, Singh told media.
