HSS Sawjian discusses Har Ghar Tiranga campaign at Parents Teacher Meeting

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR POONCH, JULY 26: An exclusive Parents Teacher Meeting was organised at Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian Poonch on Tuesday to spread awareness about Har Ghar TIRANGA programme being held under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsave.

 Members of Panchayat Raj institutions and more than one hundred parents from borders areas of Gagrian, Sawjian, Chamber and Bedar villages of Tehsil Mandi participated in the PTM.

The meeting was presided over by the School Principal Anwar Khan.

Interacting with the parents, the Principal said that the programme aims to encourage people to unfurl the National Flag on every house to celebrate the glorious 75 years of India’s Independence. He asked the parents to celebrate this event with enthusiasm and passion.

The academic side of students was also discussed in the meeting. Mohammad Shafi, Senior lecturer informed the audience about various scholarship Schemes and   explained the eligibility criteria and  process of availing the scholarship.

The ICT initiative of the school was also discussed with parents. Parents appreciated the efforts of the Principal and faculty of Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian and ensured to extend full cooperation for attaining the quality education.

In the end, the meeting observed 2 minutes silence to pay homage to war heroes on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
