DC Kulgam visits Shahoo Sachan; takes stock of Muharram arrangements

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KULGAM, JULY 23: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today visited Shahoo Sachan area of the district to oversee the arrangements put in place for ensuing Muharram-ul-Haram by various departments.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner took detailed stock of arrangements put in place by various departments to facilitate the people during the days of Muharram-ul-Haram.

During the visit, DC asked the concerned officers to synergize efforts to ensure smooth conduct of Muharram-ul-Haram and extend all requisite facilities to the devotees.

The Department of PHE and PDD were asked to ensure adequate water and electricity supply with foolproof standby arrangements.

The concerned officers were directed by the DC to install street lights on roads leading to Imam baras and to provide requisite facilities to the people throughout the Muharram days.

Dr Bilal also interacted with the people and representatives of the Shia community and listened to their issues and demands.

DDC member Pahloo and PRI members were also present on the occasion and apprised the DC about the demands of people.

ADC, ACD, CMO, AD FCS&CA, AEE PHE, PDD, BMO Qazigund and other officials accompanied the DC during the visit.
