Foreigners among two militants killed in Kulgam encounter

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar : Two militants have been killed in an encounter in Devsar area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday

An official said that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.

He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering a gunfight.

During exchange of fire so two militants have been killed and search operation is going on, he added.

He added that slain militants belong to LeT and have been identified as Haider of Pakistan and Shabaz shah of Kulgam

Both were involved in many crimes, he added.PTK.
