Army organises Drug awareness compaign & A day with company commander at manzhar Kupwara

Kupwara, 03 Dec (PTK) : The Glassdaji COB of Indian Army organised Drug awareness campaign and ‘A Day with Company Commander” for locals to ensure the strong relationship between army and awaam here on friday at manzhar area of north Kashmir’s kupwara district.

According to a statement issued to Press trust of Kashmir (PTK), that reads
Glassdaji COB of Indian Army organised Drug awareness campaign in which lecture was taken by Sub Pravin kumar, along with a Skit presented by students of HAGS, Trehgam which was attended by a total of 85 boys and girls at Govt High School, Manzhar.

The statement further stated that day with Coy Cdr was also organized in which all the Sarpanches, Ward Members and Locals were invited to have casual interaction with the Company Commander. During the interaction various local issues were also discussed.

During the event various competitions and entertainment activities were conducted for the younger lot of kids to keep them engaged and occupied and to make the event more interesting. Gifts were also distributed to the winners as well as participants at the end of the events.

In addition to that, Martial Art display under Sensei Azaz Ahmed was also organized to create awareness and benefits of Martial Arts not only for self defence but also to build self esteem and confidence, get physically fit, among the younger generation.

Tea and snacks were also provided at the end to all who attended and participated in the Drug Awareness Campaign, were duly felicitated.

The occasion witnessed wholehearted participation by the children.They showcased the love and appreciation for the Army as the echoing laughter, the sparkling excitement in their eyes,reads the statement. (PTK)
