Youth Festival celebrated at Anantnag
PRESS TRUST Of KASHMIR | ANANTNAG:1 RR with support from District Administration Anantnag and Departments of School Education and Youth Services and Sports today organised a colorful Youth Festival at Highground, here.
The event was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh as Chief Guest while Commanding Officer 1 RR, Colonel Vishal Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Syed Yasir, District Social Wefare Officer, Dr. Peerzada Farhat and other officers of Civil Administration and Army also graced the occasion.
Besides, teachers and students from different institutions, specially abled persons, local artists and youth icons and general public participated in the festival.
Motivating youth to pursue their passion in sports, athletics, culture, music, business etc, empowernment of women and specially abled persons and celebrating rich cultural diversity of J & K and country as a whole were some of the key themes of the event.
During the programme, different cultural activities including patriotic and folk songs, dance items etc were performed by the artists and students.
Encouraging youth to chase their dreams passionately, youth icons Nadia Nighat (Female Footballer) and Aadil Teeli (Cyclist) interacted with them and shared their stories of struggle and subsequent success.
On the occation, stalls of various national and mutinational companies like Amazon, Accenture, Webhelp, One 2 One etc were erected to impart career counselling and guidance to youth.
Hearing aids and wheelchairs were also distributed among the specially abled persons.
Later, ADC distributed momentoes among the best performing artists and students.
The youth appreciated Administration, Army and concerned departments for the initiative.(PTK).
