SRINAGAR, AUG 10 (PTK): The Indian Embassy in Kabul on Tuesday asked Indian citizens living in Afghanistan to start making efforts to return to India immediately.
The Indian embassy has also advised companies operating in Afghanistan to withdraw their employees from project sites.
The situation in Afghanistan has become very bad in the last few days. Taliban fighters have captured a large area as well as Zaranj, the capital of Nimroz province.
With this, the situation in this area is becoming dangerous day by day. In such a situation, on Tuesday, the Government of India has first started the process of recalling Indians from Mazar-e-Sharif.
The Indian Consulate at Mazar-e-Sharif in Afghanistan has informed that a special aircraft is leaving for New Delhi on Tuesday evening.
Indian citizens present in and around Mazar-e-Sharif have been requested to leave for Delhi by special aircraft.
The Indian Consulate at Mazar-e-Sharif has also said in its tweet that Indian citizens going to New Delhi by special aircraft should immediately give their full name, passport number and expiry date information on two WhatsApp numbers 0785891303 and 0785891301.
After this, the Indian Embassy has issued a comprehensive security advisory in this regard, in which Indian citizens have been advised to return to India as soon as possible. (PTK).
