A promise should be made to restore statehood soon: Devendra Singh Rana

SRINAGAR, JUNE 14 (PTK): National Conference’s provincial president Devendra Singh Rana has demanded the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, saying that it is possible to guarantee the rights of land and jobs to the permanent residents. He said that a promise should be made to restore statehood soon.

National Conference’s Divisional President Devendra Singh Rana attended the meeting of NC office bearers of Rajouri area of NC, Ejaz Jan, Provincial President Women’s Wing Satwant Kaur Dogra, Provincial Secretary Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, DDC President Rajouri Chau Naseem Liaquat also participated in the virtual meeting that lasted for five hours.

In which the party was discussed, as well as the problems of the general public were also discussed. Rana said that the solution of all problems is possible only with the strength of NC at the grass-root level. Rana called for being prepared for a bigger role in the near future.

He said that people have high expectations from the National Conference. Rana said that the National Conference is a cadre-based major party, which has recently demonstrated its strength during the district elections?

Referring to achieving political status, the provincial president said that the challenges are manifold and there should be an active response for people to seek a better life. Their role in decision-making, which is the essence of democracy, includes such mechanisms, young and old. It becomes the responsibility of each class. (PTK)
