President AJKPC,holds presser in Srinagar, demands security for panchs, sarpanchs

Rural areas yet to see marvel of development, says Anil Sharma

SRINAGAR JULY (PTK) Anil Sharma, President, AJKPC, All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference holds presser in Srinagar on Friday in which he demanded security for panches, sarpanches and VDCs.

While talking with Media Anil said that Panches and sarpanches are becoming soft targets of militants and there is need that security must be provided to them.

All those panches, sarpanches and VDCs who have applied for security and accommodation must be given it on priority basis for their safety, he said.

We are working at grass root level and when we won’t be protected then for what we are working here, he said adding that we want to work for the welfare of people and development of rural areas but we must be protected.

We have lost 19 panches and sarpanches in last few years but authorities aren’t taking our issues seriously

He requested PM Modi, home minister Amit Shah to look into the matter and solve our issues and demands on priority basis.

He said that I have visited all rural areas but there is no name of development..

In last seventy years, no development has been witnessed in these areas and PM must take cognizance of the issue where the funds from last 70 years have been spent, he said.
