GANDERBAL MAY 18(PTK) It is the time to Wake up : Ganderbal is Losing District Hospital as the Government is Considering to Convert District Hospital Ganderbal into tulI-time COVlD-19 Hospital

It is the time to Wake u». Prominent Personalities Prominent Politicians Journalists General Public and Members of Civil Societ should Wake up and Come on the forefront to Save the district hospital Ganderbal from Cunverting it into COVID-19 Hospital. All the Stake holders are appealed to come on front and lets us defend our District Hos-ital Ganderbal and save it for our poor and middle patients since it has come to the notice that today Government is going to announce about converting the Hospital into COVID19 Hospital. People Should know Once this Hospital is declared as COVlD-19 Hos ital Ganderbal will loose hospital on permanent basis.

Public Should imagine where a common Patient will go when the Hospital will be shut for Common Public

Justifications:-

1. That at present thousands of patients particularly who fall in the middle class category in the District Ganderbat wander in the private health care units and get treatment at very exorbitant rates .

2. That the poor class of District Ganderbal is at the edge of death confined in the homes for the absence of healthcare facilities since none among this class can. afford to go for private treatment at a very exorbitant rate charged , which could have been done in District Hospital Ganderbal at a very nominal rate.

3.That the Single Mulli Specially Hospital in District has been turned into a COVlD-19 Hospital in the Month of March 2020 without the Consultation of Community Stakeholders and without proper planning and policy. District Hospital Ganderbal which caters to the Whole District population in terms of medical facilities has been turned defunct due to lack of a concrete Clinical policy of health authorities i.e For few asymptomatic COVID-19 patients who are quite healthy whole hospital staff and infrastructure has been turned into a Unproductive Health Centre with no work except wastage of hospilal resources on unusual aspects of matters. If there would have been a concrete decision making policy about COVID-19 patients. One Separate health Centre in any Ganderbal block could have been established as COVID -19 Hospital facility rather than converting District Hospital Ganderbal into COVID-19.

4. That the District administration has number of o-tions for establishing COVlD-19 Centres in District which are as MMC Watlar MMC Wail & Unani Hospital Nawab sh Badam-ora. Rather than continuing District Hos -ital Ganderbal as COVID-19 the authorities and concerned stakeholders should shift the COVlD-19 infrastructure from District Hospital Ganderbal to the above cited facilities for the Welfare of Public.

5. That there are reports of few deaths of elder people in far nung areas of Ganderbal for the lack of treatment which could have been ensured in District Hospital Ganderbal for free of Cost.

6. That the Pregnant Women who are sailing in ANC Period , keep wandering door to door for private consultations and keep wandering to the un-established incompetent private health facilities] practioners for the sake o! treatment. ANC Pen’od being a sensitive period for a woman could land 3 Pregnant Women in danger in absence of Speciüc Health IntraslmcturelHospital. Thousands of Pregnant women who earlier used to get treatment at District Hospital Ganderbal in a very safe manner have been deserted due to the declaration of District Hospital Ganderbal as COV|D-19 Hospital.

The authorities at higher level are also requested by this medium of representation for giving immediate attention to the miseries faced by the people of Ganderbal in terms of health care facilities. The public is looking forward to knock the doors of judiciary if the District Hospital Ganderbal is not dropped from the list of COViD-19 Hospitals within 02 days.
