Take strict action against coronavirus lockdown violators: Er Nazir Yatoo

 

 
 
Srinagar, April 12(PTK): Senior People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Ex VC JK Cements, Er Nazir Ahmad Yatoo on Sunday urged authorities  to take strict action on those who violate the coronavirus lockdown.
In a statement issued here, PDP leader said that, action under provisions  should be taken by law enforcement authorities against those, who are unnecessarily roaming on the roads and markets.
“I have seen a weekly market like scene at various places. So strict action should be taken against them,” Yatoo said.
“While rooming outside, one will also go and take his family too! Do not be a threat to the whole society, the battle is not with business, but with life,” Yatoo said.
Yatoo further said that, Mohalla Committees should come forward to to prevent any movement of people towards their area in view of COVID-19 scare.
Stating that the medical fraternity and administration is duty bound in protecting every individual, Yatoo said, “Some people are not understanding the seriousness, the authorities should  take its course now.”
Pointing out that people should not go to shops every day to buy essential commodities, Yatoo said, “People can buy vegetables and groceries required for a week so that they don’t go out every day.”
Meanwhile, Yatoo also  urged Lt Governor to create a mechanism at district level, where people can verify facts and unverified news promptly, similar, to the web portal being created by other states.(PTK)
