In the true essence and spirit of JAWAN AUR AWAM,AMAN HAI MUQAAM,

Ganderbal (PTK)Rashtriya Rifles Bn ,Wusan had organised a capacity building tour for the student of govt colleges of kangan tehsil to Shimla and manali from 11-20 Feb 20 under the aegis of HQ 3 Sect RR and HQ Victor Force.

The tour delegation comprised of 30 male students alongwith one teacher and conducting staff from District Ganderbal (J&K).The tour was flagged off by Maj Gen A Sengupta ,YSM, GOC CIF (V) on 11 Feb 20 from Awantipura.

The main aim of the tour was to expose the young impressionable minds to the world outside the valley, providing opportunities for interaction with the people to increase awareness and understanding and thereby enabling them to identify more closely with their fellow countrymen.

During the tour, the students visited various places of Industrial & historical importance and tourist interest in Chandigarh, Shimla,Manali and Dharamshala.In addition to this students also visited various Educational institutes.

The tour exposed these young minds to the colors of development and fragrance of peace prevailing in areas outside J&K.This experience is bound to channelise their  thoughts process towards realising the importance of peace and prosperity.

The well executed CBT came to its grand finale in the presence of senior  civil, Mil offrs incl SDM,Kangan, SDPO Kangan who officially flagged in the tour at Wusan on 20 Feb 20.

The participants displayed great zeal and enthusiasm at the conclusion of the tour and thanked the Army for giving this opportunity to them.

An exposure of this kind comprising of aspects of higher education and industrial development in the country to the young minds of Kashmir valley would go a long way in establishing a connect with rest of the country.(ptk)
