Ensure Safety of Kashmiri Students in Karnataka, J&K Students Association Urges Karnataka CM B.S.Yediyurappa

J&K Students Association, a body of Kashmiri Students outside here today Urged Karnataka Chief Minister B.S Yediyurappa to Ensure Safety of Kashmiri Students studying in different parts of state and requested him to look into the matter personally for the safety of the students and maintaining peace and harmony in universities/colleges. In a Statement Spokesperson of Association, Nasir Khuehami demanded Punishment and Strict action against the elements involved in Roughing up of students in Premises of Court. He urged Chief Minister to provide a safe and peaceful atmosphere for students of the state and take against those found in intimidating students from Kashmir Valley.Khuehami observed that the ugly episode has given rise to sense of fear and anxiety among Kashmiri students overall.
He said that attacking students is a worrying factor for the students and parents. We demand punishment to the elements involved in Roughing up of the students. He said that these incidents may increase the sense of insecurity and anxiety among Kashmiri students studying outside as well as among their parents and relatives in Kashmir. He also urged him to take serious note of the unnecessary harassment of students, ensuring that no student is harmed or harassed.
Khuehami urged Karanataka Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa to ensure adequate Security arrangements for the Safety and Security of Kashmiri Students studying in different parts of state Particularly those who were thrashed in Premises of Court. We urge all Kashmiri studying to desist from any activity that could disrupt peace. We request all Kashmiri students to be patient, silent and behave wisely and sensibly and save their careers. He requested Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa to urgently look into the matter of Students booked under Sedition charges, so that the poor children will find some retrieve and their futures are preserved adding that the charges will have serious consequences on academic and future career of the students and should be immediately withdrawn. He said that, it may have serious repercussions both in the long term and short term.
He emphasized that there must not be any kind of harassment to the students, as that will affect their studies very badly, resulting in they will be forced to return to their homes. He emphasized that students need to be provided peaceful and secure atmosphere both in and outside educational institutions, as that, the unnecessary harassment will cause severe damage to their education. The students need to be encouraged to carry on with their studies, he added Further.
