Mentioning allaince with Er Rashid as a legitimate ground for slapping PSA against Shah Faisal, preposterous- AIP

Srinagar, 16th February: Taking very strong offence to the grounds on which Shah Faisal has been slapped with a PSA, Awami Itehad Party denounced the thickheaded and outrageous reasons mentioned by the authorities .

How could an allaince with a two time legislator be a ground for being booked under the draconian act? The various reasons listed show minimum application of mind while listing same.

Awami Itehad Party firmly expressed its opposition to such vilifying tactics and patronising attempt to malign its Supremo. The entire terror funding case against Er Rashid is in itself worst form of political vendetta. It is pertinent to point out that NIA directly reports to Union home ministry and is no autonomous institution to swear by. Everyone today knows how BJP is shamelessly misusing State agencies to target political opponents. It must also be brought to light how during the course of NIA

questioning, repeatedly AIP supremo was being pressurised to forego his stand on Kashmir. How his opposition towards the fascist regime was termed as sedition.

 

How the very fact that he use to echo the sentiments of people of Kashmir both inside the JK Assembly and outside became the sole reason for his incarceration. Also how could association with AIP Supremo be a ground to punish Shah Faisal, when Er Rashid has not yet been proven guilty of any charges in the court of law? Awami Itehad Party vehemently denounces such despecible tactics, it is the responsibility of the Government to explain what it wants to infer through its nefarious and vile insinuations. Awami Itehad Party by no means would be cowed down by such cowardly designs.

 

The PSA order against Shah Faisal is absolutely unjustified. Today BJP has made it clear to entire Kashmiri political class that those who would yield in front of them would either be booked under false cases or illegally detained under the garb of maintaining law and order, through PSA and other black laws. Our stand vis-a-vis Kashmir issue is sacrosanct, we are ready to spend rest of our lives in jails but wont compromise or surrender in front of Modi and Co. Awami Itehad Party would resist and oppose every repressive policy of Government of the day, come what may said Party Spokesperson Sheeban Ashai in a statement. (ptk)
