Forces start search operation in Baramulla village

SRINAGAR, (PTK): Government forces on Wednesday early evening started a cordon and search operation in Khisipora area of Pattan in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

As per reports reaching PTK, joint team of security forces that includes 29 Rastriya Rifles of Indian Army, CRPF of paramilitary forces and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police started conducting a searches in Khisipora village of Baramulla early this evening after they got inputs about presence of some militants in the area.

Police sources while confirming the operation said that searches were launched in the area after they got inputs about presence of some militants.

Reports further said that security forces have blocked all entries and exits to the area and search operation was conducted house-by-house.

Search operation was peaceful till now and no exchange of fire was reported.

Earlier this day, a search operation was launched by government forces in Ratsuna village of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district which was still going on.
