DLIC Budgam approves 230 Mission YUVA cases to boost youth employment opportunities

BUDGAM, AUGUST 18 (PTK): The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC), Budgam, chaired by District Development Commissioner Athar Aamir Khan, today reviewed and approved 230 applications verified by the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) under the Mission YUVA (Yuva Udyamita Vikas Abhiyan) scheme.

The meeting examined applications submitted by young aspiring entrepreneurs seeking support under Mission YUVA, a flagship initiative focused on promoting entrepreneurship among youth through financial assistance, handholding and capacity-building support.

After detailed scrutiny, the committee approved all 230 cases duly verified by the SBDU, paving the way for eligible beneficiaries to avail benefits under the scheme and establish sustainable business ventures.

The initiative is aimed at encouraging youth to pursue self-employment and entrepreneurship while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and contributing to local economic growth and employment generation in Budgam.

Speaking on the occasion, DDC Athar Aamir Khan stressed the importance of Mission YUVA in promoting entrepreneurship and generating employment opportunities for young people. He directed concerned departments to ensure timely processing of cases and close coordination for effective implementation of the scheme at the grassroots level.

The meeting was attended by GM DIC Budgam, JD Planning Budgam, Deputy Director Employment Budgam, District Social Welfare Officer, District Nodal Officer JKEDI, Lead District Manager and other concerned officials.(PTK)
